Changing a clinic appointment in Korea: a clear message checklist
A changed flight or itinerary can affect a clinic visit, but the change is not complete until the clinic confirms the revised arrangements. A concise message with the original appointment details is easier to process than several separate messages that leave the intended date unclear.
In this guide
Identify the appointment you want changed

Include the exact clinic branch, the existing date and time, and the appointment purpose. Use the reference number if the clinic supplied one. Avoid sending identity documents merely to establish which booking you mean unless the clinic’s verified process requires them.
Offer alternatives you can actually attend
Give a small set of possible dates and state that the times should be in Korean local time. If your departure date creates a hard limit, say so explicitly. A request for a new time does not establish that treatment can still take place within the remaining travel window.
Ask what else changes with the appointment
Check whether a different date affects the clinician, interpretation arrangements, event eligibility or the sequence of tests and follow-up. Ask for the applicable cancellation or change conditions rather than relying on assumptions about how other clinics handle them.
Replace the old confirmation
Once a new arrangement is confirmed, keep the latest version and mark the earlier message as replaced. If you have only received an acknowledgement, do not treat it as a completed rescheduling. The catalogue remains useful for browsing, but it does not itself modify an appointment held by an external clinic.

Send a change request that cannot be mistaken for a second booking
Start with the original appointment date, time, branch and reference if you have one. State whether you are asking to reschedule or cancel. Offer the new dates you can attend and explain any fixed travel deadline. Keep the request in the existing conversation where practical so the clinic can see which booking it concerns. A message sent through a new channel may otherwise look like an additional enquiry.
Wait for confirmation of the revised arrangement. An unanswered change request does not establish that the original appointment has been cancelled or the replacement time reserved. If the clinic proposes a different branch or clinician, check the service and language arrangements again. A time change can affect more than the calendar when it alters who will provide the consultation.
Review deposits and preparation instructions after the change
Ask how the existing payment, cancellation policy and promotional conditions apply to the revised date. A first-visit event or dated offer may not carry across automatically. If you have received preparation instructions, ask whether they still apply to the new schedule. Do not independently adjust medication or fasting based only on a change in reception time.
Save the latest confirmation and label the earlier message as superseded in your own notes. For a course involving several appointments, identify which visits changed and which remain in place. KoreaClinicGo’s catalogue can help you revisit the branch information if the location changes, but a catalogue filter or enquiry form is not a substitute for a confirmed appointment amendment.
